The Peak, Hong Kong

Just when you thought Hong Kong couldn’t look any better! Believe us when we tell you, it’s worth the trip up to Victoria Peak to take in the view of Hong Kong in all its glory!

The journey to the top starts at the Peak Tram Lower Terminus. A return ticket to the top will set you back a mere $45HK (£5). You’ll grab a slice of history here about the tram line itself while waiting to board, but prepare yourself, it can be a little bit of a wait here. Once you’re on board, strap yourself in for a bumpy ride! It’s a pretty steep ascent but the views over Victoria Harbour will make you forget all about how you could plummet off the edge. Just kidding…

Arriving at the top, you’ll likely have to battle through a crowd to get out of the station, but beyond that it won’t be hard to find plenty of spaces for selfies of every angle with that iconic skyline in the background! If you want to pay the big bucks, you can buy a ticket to the Peak Tower as part of your tram ticket. Being the savvy spenders we are, we opted for the cheaper, i.e. free, option of heading to the upper floors of The Peak Galleria shopping centre. It is much less crowded here and you still get amazing views of Hong Kong and many of the beautiful islands nearby in the South China Sea.

Well enough of me describing the view, let’s see it!
